About this box

This blue and yellow flower arrangement fills a round white box with blue irises, blue hydrangea, yellow spray roses and white roses, with lime green and white carnations, small white chamomile daisies and white stock tucked in between.

The colors are loud in a happy way. Pick it for a birthday, or for a friend stuck at home getting over a cold, when you want the room to look brighter the moment the box comes in.

Next to blue-violet irises, the yellow spray roses read warmer and brighter, since those two hues are color-wheel opposites. Our florist uses the hydrangea as a soft blue base and lets the irises point up and out, which gives the top an open, uneven line. The chamomile brings a field-flower feel, the green carnations echo the leaves, and white stock adds a sweet, peppery smell.

The same irises appear with white roses only in our blue and white iris box. If you want yellow and hydrangea without irises, look at a sunny yellow box.

Sizes are Classic, Signature and Grand. Irises are seasonal; when the day's irises fall short, we hold the blue with a similar flower in that shade, of the same value or higher.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Very close. Every bouquet is arranged by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Flowers are seasonal and availability can vary. If a flower isn’t available, we replace it with one of equal or greater value, keeping the color palette, style and beauty of the arrangement. Want to see it before it goes out? Check “Send me a photo of the bouquet before delivery” in your bag.

What if the recipient isn’t home?

We always try to hand the bouquet over in person. If there’s a safe spot (by the door, or with a concierge), we leave the bouquet there and take a photo. If there’s nowhere safe to leave it, we call the recipient using the number in your delivery instructions, and if they don’t answer, we contact you.

If we can’t reach either of you, we bring the bouquet back to the shop and hold it until the end of pickup hours the next day: pick it up at 6201 Hollywood Blvd or book a redelivery. Need it handed over in person? Say so in the delivery instructions and include the recipient’s phone number.

How do I care for it?

Some flowers last longer than others. Flowers don’t like heat, direct sun or sudden temperature changes, and each order comes with a packet of flower food.

Bouquets in a vase: mix the flower food into the water, trim ½ inch off the stems at an angle, change the water every 2 days, and keep them away from direct sun, heaters, AC vents and fruit.

Flowers in a box: add a little water to the foam every day so it never dries out, and keep the box in a cool spot out of direct sun.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Flowers and delivery date can be changed until 6 AM on the delivery day, when we buy the flowers for your order. The address and card message can be changed until the order is handed to our driver, usually after 12 PM. We email you when that happens.

Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund. After that the flowers have already been bought, so the order can’t be canceled. For Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and other peak days, changes to the flowers or the date and cancellations close at 6 AM three days before delivery. To make a change, call or text (323) 493-1514. How much is delivery?

Free within 2 miles of our Hollywood Blvd shop; beyond that it’s $7–$45 depending on distance, up to 30 miles. Check your ZIP code above for an estimate. The exact fee for the street address appears at checkout, before you pay. Pickup at the shop is always free.
