About this bouquet

Autumn Romance is a dahlia and rose bouquet in fall colors, wrapped in paper with a ribbon and delivered in a vase. Wine-colored ball dahlias and large blush dahlias sit among pink and red roses, yellow spray roses and plumes of pink astilbe.

It suits an anniversary or a dinner date, when you want roses in warm, deep shades instead of plain red.

The bouquet has two kinds of dahlia. The wine dahlias are small, tight pompons of rolled petals; the blush ones are wide and shaggy, pale at the tips and pinker toward the middle. Dark purple leaves between the flowers make the yellow spray roses look brighter. The astilbe stands a little above the rest and softens the top with its feathery spikes.

Pick Classic or Signature; the recipe is the same in both, and both come with the vase. We carry dahlias all year. Outside July to October the heads are smaller, and if a shade isn’t available that morning, our florist uses a flower of equal or greater value in the same colors.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Very close. Every bouquet is arranged by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Flowers are seasonal and availability can vary. If a flower isn’t available, we replace it with one of equal or greater value, keeping the color palette, style and beauty of the arrangement. Want to see it before it goes out? What if the recipient isn’t home?

We always try to hand the bouquet over in person. If there’s a safe spot (by the door, or with a concierge), we leave the bouquet there and take a photo. If there’s nowhere safe to leave it, we call the recipient using the number in your delivery instructions, and if they don’t answer, we contact you.

If we can’t reach either of you, we bring the bouquet back to the shop and hold it until the end of pickup hours the next day: pick it up at 6201 Hollywood Blvd or book a redelivery. Need it handed over in person? Say so in the delivery instructions and include the recipient’s phone number.

How do I care for it?

Some flowers last longer than others. Flowers don’t like heat, direct sun or sudden temperature changes, and each order comes with a packet of flower food.

Bouquets in a vase: mix the flower food into the water, trim ½ inch off the stems at an angle, change the water every 2 days, and keep them away from direct sun, heaters, AC vents and fruit.

Flowers in a box: add a little water to the foam every day so it never dries out, and keep the box in a cool spot out of direct sun.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Flowers and delivery date can be changed until 6 AM on the delivery day, when we buy the flowers for your order. The address and card message can be changed until the order is handed to our driver, usually after 12 PM. We email you when that happens.

Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund. After that the flowers have already been bought, so the order can’t be canceled. For Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and other peak days, changes to the flowers or the date and cancellations close at 6 AM three days before delivery. To make a change, call or text (323) 493-1514.
