About this box

These are roses in a box at their simplest: 50 or 75 fresh roses in one color, red, white or pink, packed into a dome over a round white box with the lid propped open behind them. The box is pictured with red roses.

Pick this box for an engagement or a big anniversary, when you want one color and a lot of it. A box stands on its own, so nobody has to hunt for a vase wide enough for fifty stems.

Our florist cuts every stem to the same height, so the heads sit shoulder to shoulder and the top of the dome stays smooth. A ruffle of tissue covers the rim. The roses come to you as firm cups and loosen a little each day; as they open, the small gaps between the heads close up and red roses go darker at the edges.

Fifty roses make a full, rounded dome a little wider than the box. With 75 it grows taller and much wider, and you will want both hands to carry it.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Very close. Every bouquet is arranged by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Flowers are seasonal and availability can vary. If a flower isn’t available, we replace it with one of equal or greater value, keeping the color palette, style and beauty of the arrangement. Want to see it before it goes out? Check “Send me a photo of the bouquet before delivery” in your bag.

What if the recipient isn’t home?

We always try to hand the bouquet over in person. If there’s a safe spot (by the door, or with a concierge), we leave the bouquet there and take a photo. If there’s nowhere safe to leave it, we call the recipient using the number in your delivery instructions, and if they don’t answer, we contact you.

If we can’t reach either of you, we bring the bouquet back to the shop and hold it until the end of pickup hours the next day: pick it up at 6201 Hollywood Blvd or book a redelivery. Need it handed over in person? Say so in the delivery instructions and include the recipient’s phone number.

How do I care for it?

Some flowers last longer than others. Flowers don’t like heat, direct sun or sudden temperature changes, and each order comes with a packet of flower food.

Bouquets in a vase: mix the flower food into the water, trim ½ inch off the stems at an angle, change the water every 2 days, and keep them away from direct sun, heaters, AC vents and fruit.

Flowers in a box: add a little water to the foam every day so it never dries out, and keep the box in a cool spot out of direct sun.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Flowers and delivery date can be changed until 6 AM on the delivery day, when we buy the flowers for your order. The address and card message can be changed until the order is handed to our driver, usually after 12 PM. We email you when that happens.

Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund. After that the flowers have already been bought, so the order can’t be canceled. For Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and other peak days, changes to the flowers or the date and cancellations close at 6 AM three days before delivery. To make a change, call or text (323) 493-1514.
